Happy Fall, Y’all!
I had a wonderful summer filled with lots of family memories to savor. Some of my favorites were taking my boys to Six Flags with my husband, seeing Finding Dory in the theater with the whole family, meeting at the park with friends, and lots of pajama days with plenty of board games and nowhere to be.
But now Autumn is here, and we are on to new adventures. Which brings me to the absolutely breathtaking book I want to recommend!
Love’s Pursuit by Siri Mitchell.
Back Cover: In Stoneybrooke, Massachusetts, Susannah Phillips obeys the rules. Dress the right way. Believe the right things. Live the right life. But when love interferes, she faces a choice: Follow the rules or follow her heart.
This is one of my favorite books, and one I will never forget. Set in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1640’s, it reminds me in some ways of The Scarlet Letter. Only it is achingly romantic, deeply moving, and filled with tension that increases with each turn of the page. And if you belong to a book club, this novel begs to be shared and discussed. It’s not your typical romance. (Discussion questions are provided in the back of the book.)
You can find it here.
If you read it, would you let me know what you think? Also, do you have any book recommendations for me? I just finished a great novel (I’ll blog about it soon!) and am on the lookout for something new.
Wishing You Warm and Well,
(Actually, if you live in the south like me, I wish you cold! 😉 Someday soon, the temperature WILL drop!)

PS. Over the summer, I won a prize from one of my favorite podcasts: Write from the Deep with Karen Ball (Yes, the author/editor/agent who’s worked with Francine Rivers!) and Erin Taylor Young (Also an author! I love her!). They invited me to contribute to their winner’s spotlight page. How neat! You can read it here. (Click the link and scroll to the bottom to find me.) Write from the Deep is a wonderful podcast full of encouragement for your writer’s heart and answers for your “why am I doing this?” moments.
