Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone!!!
I am a complete romantic with great dreams for my marriage, family, and writing career. I see what could be, and I go for it.
But as any perfectionist could tell you, sometimes, our IDEALS become ORDEALS, and we see that the Pinterest/Hallmark/Disney dream ain’t gonna happen—at least not all at once and maybe not how we pictured it.
So what’s a girl to do?
I get on my knees and give it all to God. He reminds me to quit looking at the outcomes of my work and to keep my eyes on him.
AND…
I take a break and read something awesome.
And that, friend, is what I am excited to give you!!! An awesome historical romance:
A Moonbow Night by Laura Frantz
(Since it’s love month, there’s chocolate too!) 🙂
Back Cover:
After fleeing Virginia, Temperance Tucker and her family established an inn along the Shawnee River. It’s a welcome way station for settlers and frontiersmen traveling through the wild Cumberland region of Kentucke–men like Sion Morgan, a Virginia surveyor who arrives at the inn with his crew looking for an experienced guide. When his guide appears, Sion balks. He certainly didn’t expect a woman. But it is not long before he must admit that Tempe’s skill in the wilderness rivals his own. Still, the tenuous tie they are forming is put to the test as they encounter danger after danger and must rely on each other.
With her signature sweeping style and ability to bring the distant past to vivid life, Laura Frantz beckons readers to join her in a land of Indian ambushes, conflicting loyalties, and a tentative love that meanders like a cool mountain stream.
My Thoughts:
A Moonbow Night is like a tentative dance in the dark, with twists and turns, and danger—sometimes lurking in the heavily wooded terrain of 1777 Kentucky, and sometimes with the dancer beside you. Cloaked in shadows of upheaval and divided loyalties, one can’t always tell friend from foe. With writing that sinks right into your soul, Laura Frantz delivers another romance to remember, with a beautiful ending that proves the dance is worth dancing, even on the darkest of nights.
